The Joby GP3-01EN Gorillapod SLR-Zoom makes taking digital photos more fun [...]

The first certified press photos for the HTC Touch Diamond’s Sprint version has just emerged.
Its features, which includes Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, EVDO Rev. A., 528 Mhz clockspeed, 256 MB of system ROM, 256 MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, and 4GB of storage memory, enables the Diamond to be the most dominant HTC gadget of [...]

A complete keyboard, Windows Mobile 6.1 platform, 3G support, and HTC’s “TouchFLO” user interface, are some of the features of Bell’s HTC Touch Dual which just made its first appearance in Canada.
The handset also boasts of media player with video streaming support, a touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, and a microSD memory card slot [...]

The HTC Touch Pro has yet to hit the U.S. but when it does, there’s a rumor going around that it will adopt the moniker “Fuze” under AT&T. I don’t know about the name, but we’re certainly excited for this phone to get a U.S. release.

And it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer, with a tipster over at WMExperts saying the AT&T Fuze will be released “sooner rather than later.” This is good news for those waiting on the edge of their seats for this QWERTY slider.

And in case you’d forgotten, the HTC Touch Pro features TouchFLO 3D, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA wireless connectivity, 1350mAh battery capacity, a microSD memory card slot, a 2.8-inch VGA touch screen, 512MB flash, 288MB RAM, a 3.2-megapixel camera, video calling and GPS.

Before a new product comes out, every little bit of speculation is big news. And the latest photos of the HTC Touch Diamond CDMA are shaking things up a bit.

Sprint’s latest offering may have a red back, which adds a bit of variety to the candy bar design. But that’s not to say additional coloring offerings won’t be available. Check out more photos below.

If you want to make a more environmentally-conscious choice when purchasing a cell phone, why not consider the Samsung E200 Eco? Samsung has gone green with this candybar phone that has a casing made entirely from corn-based bioplastics.

And for a green phone, it’s no slouch. It features:

  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • SMS and video messaging
  • MP3 player

Not too bad, if you ask me. Plus, it features a special alarm that reminds you to unplug the phone’s charger once the battery is all the way full. No need to drain extra power than you need to, after all. The phone looks simple and perhaps a bit dated, but it’s a positive step toward environmental awareness in electronics. However, corn-based plastics aren’t exactly that fantastic for the environment. But this is a step in the right direction, without a doubt.

In the world of mobile devices, rumors abound, but a particularly interesting one keeps popping up and won’t seem to die. That rumor involves the possibility of a Zune phone. It seems a meeting may (or may not) be held this week in Redmond that would involve the discussion of a Zune phone to compete with the iPhone.

All we know thus far is that if this were to happen, the Zune phone would have the new version of Windows Mobile, at the moment called Windows Mobile 7 and would work primarily around Windows Live Services.

This phone would be put in direct competition with the iPhone 3G–meaning it would have a touchscreen and multi-touch capabilities. Nothing’s confirmed yet, but it would make sense for Microsoft to make this move. After all, they have a media-friendly device (the Zune), why not incorporate those qualities into their Windows Mobile platform?

Motorola have several phone launches coming up, but this one is news to us. The Motorola V70 Retro is the successor to the standard V70 and tries to bring a bit of retro-style with its swivel design. But does it succeed?

These leaked photos show a unique-looking phone that swivels open to reveal the keypad. That being said, am I the only one that thinks the middle part looks like a monocle? In case you’re wondering where the screen is, that aforementioned circle is it.

This phone will most likely cost a pretty penny. The only spec known for sure at the moment is the 5-megapixel camera on the back. My favorite part: the “Do Not Photograph” on the phone’s side.

Check out a few additional shots below.

Sprint have released its second update for the Samsung Instinct, and unlike last time this looks to be a far more significant change.  Changes have been made to Sprint TV, the browser, Picture Messaging, Navigation and more, with differences including optimized YouTube playback, smoother Sprint TV/Radio and better Bluetooth headphone performance.

Unlike the previous update, which was released in one go, individual applications will prompt to be upgraded when loaded.  Sprint is rolling out the changes progressively, so certain apps will offer an update while others will not; our own Instinct had access to the Visual Voicemail and Sprint TV software, for instance, but not to Navigation or the media player.  There doesn’t appear to be a way to download everything at one time, presumably to minimize stress on the network.

We’ll be keeping a track on any noticeable changes and flagging them up here on PHONE Mag.  If you spot any differences on your Sprint Instinct, let us know!

Live photos of the Palm Treo Pro, first spotted yesterday, have appeared on a Chinese forum, together with further details about the handsets specifications. The Treo Pro has a 400MHz CPU, 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. There’s also GPS, triband 3G and quadband GSM.

The camera is 2-megapixels, and the screen confirmed at 320 x 320. Thankfully Palm appear to have listened to complaints and given the Pro a microUSB connector and a 3.5mm headphone connector, rather than proprietary ports.

Performance of the smartphone is reportedly “snappy”, and we’re assuming battery life is very reasonable courtesy of the 1500mAh battery. Check out the live photos below.
